First, I want to start off by apologizing for this weeks response being so late. Last week was Thanksgiving (I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday filled with family) and Black Friday. I spent my holiday working retail with little sleep so that is why this post is so late, please forgive me.
This week, or should I say last week, our prompt option was a little different. We were given the reading assignment titled, "Who are the people whose digital presence or identity you most admire? Your favorite Instagram/Snapchat/Twitter feeds?" We then had to pick two of them and answer a few questions.
The assigned prompt this week was titled, "Climb up your own creative family tree." This creative family tree's purpose was to show me what different social media sites and pages I look at and where I get my inspiration for my own posts. I found this tree to be very difficult and exhausting since I try to be original when it comes to creating my posts.
I found this week's posts and prompt to be the most difficult of the semester. This was the most difficult because, even though I do have numerous social media outlets, I tend not to look at individual profiles. I do scroll through a news feed here and there and tend to creep on some that I find interesting but once I get to a point I stop and it ends there.
Last semester I did find myself fascinated with one online community art project called PostSecret. PostSecret is a website where people's real life secrets are posted for the world to see. PostSecret originally started out as a small art project when the creator hoped to only receive 365 secret responses.Today, these secrets are sent in anonymously by people all over the world. New secrets are posted every Sunday! If you want to check it out for yourself I embedded the link to the website in the name. Enjoy!
